The festive atmosphere of the Mid-Autumn Festival is strong, and mooncake sales are booming in Aktau, Xinjiang.

As the Mid-Autumn Festival approaches, the mooncake market has entered its peak season. This autumn, Aktau, Xinjiang has an abundant supply of mooncakes and stable prices. With different flavors and styles of mooncakes that cater to different consumer groups, the market is heating up for the Mid-Autumn Festival.

Mooncake companies are busy producing real estate mooncakes

On September 11th, at a supermarket on Tabi Road in Aktau, a wide variety of mooncake products were displayed in the most prominent position. Traditional fillings such as five nuts, red bean paste, blueberry ice skin, mango, durian, and egg yolk lotus paste attracted many citizens to come and make their choices.

"Old-brand mooncakes use good ingredients, so we can eat them with peace of mind. The seniors in my family especially like the traditional five nuts mooncakes. We buy some every year for the Mid-Autumn Festival," said citizen Song Tao. Mooncakes symbolize reunion, so we usually buy small packages for ourselves, which are cheap and not wasteful.

"Although there is still some time before the Mid-Autumn Festival, the number of customers buying mooncakes increases every day. Mooncakes have entered the sales peak early, and family packs, promotional packs, and small packages are the most popular products," said supermarket promoter Dong Taiyang.

At the same time, in addition to the supermarkets where innovative mooncakes are being launched, local mooncake manufacturers in Aktau are also stepping up production and actively stocking up.

In the mooncake production workshop of Aktau Iger Food Co., Ltd., workers are busy. Mixing ingredients, kneading dough, filling, baking... In a short while, mooncakes with golden brown crusts emitting a fragrant aroma are completed.

Li Linxia, general manager of Aktau Iger Food Co., Ltd., said: "We started production officially at the end of August and can produce 20,000 mooncakes per day. During the production process, we firmly control food safety, ensuring that consumers can eat mooncakes with peace of mind. In addition to the traditional flavors, we have also innovated in the fillings based on market demand this year. We currently produce more than 30 varieties, and the sales situation is good. Consumers like them."

Law enforcement officers from the Aktau Market Supervision and Administration Bureau reminded consumers to choose mooncakes from regular channels, pay attention to the integrity and cleanliness of the product packaging, consume rationally, and be cautious of concepts such as "discounts," "promotions," "health," and "sugar-free." They should also reject products with excessive packaging or from unknown manufacturers. When consuming mooncakes, consumers should also consider their own circumstances and eat in moderation.
